Die Ethernet-I/O- Technologie von Perle (IOLAN DS I/O Device Servers) ermöglicht den umfassenden Zugriff und die Steuerung von Remote-Digital-I/O, Analog-I/O, Puls-I/O, Relais und Temperatursensoren sowie Verbindungen von dezentralen seriellen Geräten an jedes IP-Netzwerk. Das IOLAN DS I/O kann Umgebungsalarme, Einbruchserkennung, Relaiskontaktschließungen und Geräteausfälle überwachen. Durch die Fernsteuerung des Bedieners oder der Anwendung kann das Öffnen und Schließen integrierter Relaiskontakte oder die Aktivierung digitaler Ausgangssignale in jede Reaktion auf ein kritisches Ereignis integriert werden.
